In 1978 X-10 Ltd was founded as a Joint venture between the X-10 developers and BSR, the Powerline Carrier Technology products were then launched in the USA to Radio Shack and Sears Roebuck.

In 1987 X-10 acquired BSR's interest in the Company and began manufacturing in Shenzen China. Today X-10 produce over one million units a month and employ 2,500 people on a 50,000 sq/m site.
